National Maritime Museum
I got to make a bunch of little films for the National Maritime earlier this year, and they are now online.
I think the coolest one was this huge 3D version of a canaletto painting that we did for the lobby of the museum. If you go down there you can see it up on the screen for most of the summer!
Before that, I also directed some little educational films that play on ipads that visiting...

Christmas Card
I made a christmas card with some cool magnetic paper that I spotted in an art store a couple of weeks ago. It’s based on the Chinese Tangram game - you can rearrange the magnetic pieces into the shape of a christmas tree or something else to stick to the front of the card.
Perhaps a non-denominational Christmas candle…
… Or a traditional Christmas cat.
I was pretty...
Inside Film
I just finished some animation for a new film created with Inside Film - a great organisation that helps prison inmates to make films.
The film in question is about the massive divide between rich and poor in London. The film was started about 9 months ago, but now in the wake of the summer riots and the growing Occupy movement it’s subject is more relevant than ever.
I designed and...

Words and Pictures
In the new issue of Computer arts magazine there is a tutorial about Raster/Picket Fence/Barrier Grid animation that me and Matthias did. It was based on our Beakus Christmas card from last year, but we had to do a new ilustration for the magazine.

British Library
I just finished a bunch of 9 little films for the British Library website about children’s games. We held workshops in London and Sheffield where the children made a script and drew illustrations. I then animated these more or less to their specifications over about 6 weeks. Cheers to Kane Burton who helped me out a lot with the second batch and did some great character animation. The...

Youth Led Media Summit
I’ve just come back from the first Youth Led Media Summit in London. A kind of conference and networking event for 16-24 year olds working in ‘the media’. I was on the steering group for the event, and also had to present some of the speakers on the day which was pretty fun. I made a short animation which was played in the cinema at the start of the day. Here it is:
What do dogs dream about?
Hey, so I’ve recently finished a big chunk of animation for Cbeebies Green Balloon Club. It’s about a dog who dreams in videos that look suspiciously similar to BBC wildlife documentaries. There are 10 episodes and they should be on TV starting in January.
Here’s a shot of skipper the dog piloting her ‘Dream Machine’.
